Advantage To Move Suppliers To Principal Status

Advantage Travel Centres has written to its non-principal accommodation only suppliers asking them to confirm their plans to become principals in the near future.

The board of Advantage has asked each of the suppliers to respond by 11th April outlining their future intentions. Any accommodation only supplier who will not move to principal status will be removed from the Advantage supplier list.

Commenting on the announcement, John McEwan, Chief Executive, Advantage Travel Centres said: "We have a continuing concern that our members who are dynamically packaging product or dealing with accommodation only agents are exposing themselves to significant and unnecessary risk, we are asking all our suppliers to declare themselves principals which will protect our members".

Advantage has seen a significant increase in dynamically packaged business this year, with accommodation only suppliers leading the way.
